With 45 secs left ya go for the 7-8 yd plays & passes out to the side & work the ball closer to the end-zone for higher percentage plays...anyways in the heat of the battle & crowd noise it's easy to be an arm-chair QB.

Good call. 45 seconds is plenty of time in the CFL

The guy I really like see fired from the Lions is the Offensive Coordinator Jacques Chapelaine, although Buono has made more than his share of bonehead decisions the past few seasons.

Chapdelaine has to have pictures of somebody for him to keep his job. He's brutal. He was run out of Edmonton after only a year. That smug arrogant look he has on the sidelines has me yelling at the TV. Good riddance...

Danny M doesn't have a good record and the Edmonton fans hated him. Coming here? Why why why!!!

Buono is a tougher call. His playoff record is barely over .500, even though he's usually had the more talented team. He definitely gets outcoached in the playoffs. I do like how he finds talent but I don't necessarily think he's a great coach. Or even a good one. I'd like to see him move up into the GM's chair, the sooner the better. The Lions have had way too much talent to be this bad for this many years. They have been perennial under-achievers and that should be unacceptable to the fans here. Sometimes I don't think they care enough though...

Things will change when Braley sells the team, which is rumoured to be happening soon. Now that he owns the Argos, a deal is imminent apparently. A new owner will probably shake things up. And they need to be... nuff said!

Buono is very conservative and plays not to lose instead of playing to win. Unlike Don Matthews he does not live on the edge. Chapdelaine is a total joke as an Offensive Coordinator. You should see him during warm ups. He stands on the field by himself practicing his hand signals while the players are warming up. Ricky Ray the Edmonton quarterback used to laugh at him. I bet he signals to his wife at the dinner table to pass the salt.

I wonder if he just saw the signal that I just sent in to him... :wet-trout:
